Description

Learn how to make your own pandan simply syrup using only 3 ingredients! Its delightful flavor and taste will elevate your drinks, desserts, and recipes. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3-4 fresh or frozen pandan leaves


Instructions

1. Chop your pandan leaves into 2-inch pieces. Add the leaves and water to a food processor. Blitz until you have a nice green liquid. 

2. Strain the liquid through a cheesecloth. Discard the pandan pulp.

3. In a small saucepan, add sugar and the pandan juice, whisk, and simmer on medium heat until the liquid becomes thick syrup.

4. Remove from the stove and allow to cool before use. 

5. Store the syrup in a glass bottle with a lid and place it in a container in a dry spot.

Notes

  • Use more or less pandan leaves as needed for the green coloring. The more you use, the deeper the green color you'll get
  • Adjust the sugar as needed for your dietary needs and taste buds! 
  • Use fresh pandan leaves for the best flavor.
