Description
Do you love yourself a good sour cocktail? If so, you must try this Mekhong whiskey sour with pineapple juice. It's a refreshing, sweet, and tangy drink to sip and enjoy as a tasty drink all year round.
Ingredients
- 2 ounces of Mekhong whiskey. Grab Mekhong whiskey online here at Uptown Spirit.
- 3 ounces pineapple juice. Fresh pineapple juice is excellent, but store-bought is fine. Orange juice or mango juice can work as substitutes.
- 1-ounce cherry juice. Maraschino juice and cherries.
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Optional- Blood orange bitters, 3-5 drops
Instructions
- Add the Mekhong whiskey, pineapple juice, cherry juice, bitters (If using), and lime juice to a cocktail shaker.
- Add a few pieces of ice to the cocktail shaker, and shake all the ingredients together until the shaker is cold to the touch, 30 seconds or so. Have a small taste and add more juice or simple syrup to adjust the flavors to your liking.
- Pour into a glass filled with fresh ice. If you need more sourness, a dash of fresh lemon or lime juice, stir and enjoy!
- Garnish with cherries, mint leaves, and pineapple wedges, and enjoy!
Notes
- Use spiced rum if you can't find Mekhong whiskey. Asked about quality spiced rum at your local liquor stores.
- Freshly squeezed pineapple juice elevates the drink!
- Add up to 1/2 ounce of Moschino cherry juice for added sweetness and a beautiful red color.
