This Tanqueray Seville Orange Gin Cocktail with Blood Orange is the perfect drink to usher in early Spring and beyond! Its fragrant, sour, sweet taste makes this drink a refreshing and light drink full of zest!
- 2 oz Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla Distilled Gin. (Add more or less as preferred)
- 1 blood orange- freshly squeezed juice- about 2 ounces
- 1/2 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 ounce maple syrup
- 3-4 drops of blood orange bitters
- 1 kaffir lime leaf. Use fresh leaves or dry lime leaves for this recipe!
- 10 ice cubes divided
- Squeeze the juices of blood orange and lime juice. Strain through a filter to get pulp-free juice.
- Add kaffir lime leaves to a shaker and muddle for a few seconds to extract the oils for flavor and aroma.
- Add the gin, bitters, blood orange, lime juice, maple syrup, and 4-5 pieces of ice to the shaker.
- Cover the lid and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Add fresh ice cubes to a cocktail glass or ice-filled wine glass and pour the cocktail into it.
- Garnish with a slice of orange or lime, or blood orange wedges. Orange wheel or kaffir leaves. That’s it. Sip and enjoy!
- Before pouring the entire drink into your cocktail glass, sample a tiny sip. Adjust here with more lime juice, syrup, or gin to taste. Shake it once more and adjust as necessary.
- Top with soda water or tonic water to make Tanqueray Sevilla orange gin & soda.
- Skip the kaffir lime leaves if you can’t find them. Use a small slice of lime rind instead.
- Honey or simple syrup works well as a sweetener too.
